“60% of the time, my child completes their homeschool work without tears.”

*le sigh*

Inside your homeschool, you…

  • aren’t sure you can handle another day of yelling, crying, and lying about finishing a lesson (so you can get back on track to where you should’ve been last month!)

  • find yourself daydreaming about how easy it would be if the curriculum could be custom matched to your child’s needs

  • keep sock ‘em boppers nearby in case you need to protect yourself when giving spelling corrections

*insert another le sigh*

Psst…you started your homeschool so your child could learn outside of the box, so why keep using inside-the-box strategies?

Imagine if you could flip the script on what learning “should” look like…

And watch your child take risks with new ideas, get their work done without being asked, and be willing to take your advice…

You can (and deserve to) deepen connection with your child through homeschooling…

Whether you’re brand spankin’ new or have been navigating uncharted waters for what feels like centuries.

"In reflection of the last 6 months, my big win is confidence in who I am becoming. You’ve created a circle of mentors where I can bring my authentic self to seek advice. I feel more comfortable in my day-to-day activities knowing I can lean into my support circle. A circle that’s also growing daily & leading from experience. Being part of the movement & learning empowers me to take it on in my home. Thanks to you and the Teaching Inspired community!"

Would you spend $15 on homeschool art supplies in a heartbeat, but still wear thread bare underwear?

You deserve resources too.

I’ll never forget transitioning to Home Learning Support Teacher after 10 years in the high school classroom…

At that time, I worked for a homeschool academy and the first family I was assigned to ended up quitting their homeschool and the mom put her kids back into the classroom. The reason? The academy needed learning proof from workbooks but she was an outdoor, adventure person.

She wanted her kids to think outside the box. That’s why she started her homeschool in the first place and here she was right back to workbooks, report cards, and math speed drills.

That’s when I realized there was a serious lack of support for homeschooling moms.

I set out to fill that gap.

And Homeschool Teaching Simplified was born…

I’ve now supported 1,000s of families to reignite a love of learning in their children by making homeschool relevant, meaningful, and engaging for their growing minds.

All by guiding you through the process of adapting what you already have to actually work for your family, and showing you how to develop the type of resiliency needed for a life-long love of learning.

“Natalie's given me ways to help me see my children's learning styles differently and it's opened up a whole new world of standards that match and align with our home values and goals for them.”

You’ll love me like a homeschooler loves snacks if…

➡ Winging it is no longer working for you.

You want to lead your homeschool with clarity and confidence, not react from stress or power struggles. You’re ready for learning to feel calmer, steadier, and include more of that “razzle-dazzled” curiosity again.

➡ You’re still searching for curriculum that actually works.

You want the confidence to adapt what you already have, make clear decisions in real time, and stop second-guessing yourself every time things don’t go as planned. You’ve realized that the problem isn’t that you haven’t found the right thing yet — it’s that homeschooling requires discernment, flexibility, and leadership that no curriculum box can provide.

➡ You’re raising a smart, confident, and resilient independent thinker.

You care deeply about independence, thinking, and growth — but you know those don’t flourish under pressure. You’re interested in personal growth, emotional regulation, and becoming the kind of teacher your child can lean into, not push against.

Check out what happened for Barbara when she let go of expectations from others and embraced guiding her daughter’s learning at the pace that was best for her:

“You helped me change my perspective in how I see my kids in their journey and their walk with education, and I thank you so much for that because it released so much of the control that I felt I needed to have over their learning and it allowed me to give it to them. That was just a beautiful moment for me so I really appreciate that.”

“It is just such a wonderful experience to feel heard and seen. Sometimes I feel like things can be presented like “this is the only way”, but that’s not what you get here [with Natalie].”

Barbara Schaffer | Homeschooling Mom & Teaching Inspired Member

“I download every book you talk about, check out the podcasts, review all the materials you share and take notes on your talks. My big win so far is confidence : )"

- Kate Showers | Homeschooling Mom & Teaching Inspired Member

"It is so nice to talk to Natalie because she doesn’t talk to you from a pedestal. I feel like I’ve hit a gold mine."

“What Natalie teaches helped me understand how to ask good questions so that my teens can dig for truth and see beauty in it.”

FAQ:
Frequently Asked Questions

  • Short answer: both — but it starts with you.

The work I do is designed to support you as a homeschooling mom first. Inside my membership and resources, the focus is on your personal growth, your confidence as the teacher, and practical ways to apply what you’re learning in real homeschool moments.

As you become calmer, clearer, and more grounded in how you lead, your child benefits naturally. Learning feels safer. Pushback softens. Thinking comes back online.

We do talk about skills like communication, discernment, initiative, and independent thinking — but not as a checklist to “install” in your child. Instead, you’ll learn how to create the conditions where those traits develop organically, without pressure or power struggles.

And yes, when children start thinking more openly, asking bigger questions, or pushing back in new ways, that can feel uncomfortable. I’ll guide you through how to respond gently and confidently, so those moments deepen connection rather than creating fear or friction.

  • Yes. You’re welcome here whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been homeschooling for years.

Experience matters far less than relationship. The most important piece is that you know your child and you’re willing to grow alongside them.

I design my content so newer homeschoolers can step in without feeling overwhelmed, while experienced moms continue to deepen their confidence, discernment, and leadership in the hard moments. This isn’t about starting from scratch or learning “the basics.” It’s about becoming steadier, clearer, and more intentional as the teacher you already are.

No matter how long you’ve been homeschooling, the result is the same: stronger connection, less pushback, and a child who grows in initiative and resilience because they feel safe to think, try, and learn.

  • Yes. I have a background teaching high school and bring that perspective into everything I offer.

Teaching teenagers isn’t about controlling outcomes or pushing harder. It requires steadiness, respect, and an understanding of how independence, identity, and thinking evolve at this stage. Inside my work, I share examples and guidance that apply across elementary, middle, and high school years, with clear distinctions for where your child is developmentally and emotionally.

Whether your teen is engaged, resistant, or somewhere in between, you’ll learn how to lead with confidence, support resilient thinking, and maintain connection without power struggles — even as expectations and stakes increase.

  • With recent changes in curriculum, there are so many reasons for why people are choosing to homeschool.

Because of this, I have chosen to keep the main content focus to be practical learning strategies that anyone can see benefit from, regardless of their spiritual approach.

When it comes to long term sustainable approaches to how you view teaching & learning, this includes the holistic aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. I come from a background based on biblical truth so you will hear me speak from this perspective of understanding and experience.

That being said, I am happy to meet you wherever you are at on your personal spiritual journey and will provide teaching support for you with how you want to homeschool your child.
