I’ll never forget transitioning to Home Learning Support Teacher after 10 years in the high school classroom…

At that time, I worked for a homeschool academy and the first family I was assigned to ended up quitting their homeschool and the mom put her kids back into the classroom. The reason? The academy needed learning proof from workbooks but she was an outdoor, adventure person. 


She wanted her kids to think outside the box. That’s why she started her homeschool in the first place and here she was right back to workbooks, report cards, and math speed drills. 

That’s when I realized there was a serious lack of support for homeschooling moms. 

I set out to fill that gap. 

And Homeschool Teaching Simplified was born…

2️⃣ I taught dance to pay my way through my Bachelor of Science (cell and molecular biology) and Bachelor of Education (curriculum development and design). 💃

3️⃣ I've been a certified teacher for over 12 years! I used to teach public high school biology, health science, and dance before I moved to homeschooling. 👩🏻‍🏫

4️⃣ My favourite night out activity is going to an escape room. 🔐

5️⃣ My husband, Zach and I have been married for 15 years and we have 3 children: Brooke, Caleb, and Emmett. We live in beautiful BC, Canada on a 2 acre homestead. ⛰️
